Your return is about progressively building up your training to a level that you are able, to maintain. It needs to be Consistent, Sustainable and Balanced. It is not about PLAYING CATCH UP as you risk getting sick or injured.
From a physiotherapy perspective those who gradually build back, tend not to have recurrent injuries.
